Farewell, My Beijing is now available in several eBook formats at Smashwords.com. Published by John Hoyle (my webmaster) through his company, Triangle Square Publishing of Salem, Oregon, the new version was officially released on September 20, 2012.

Smashwords.com is a growing online eBook publishing company that distributes machine readable versions through its own website and through major outlets like Barnes & Noble, Baker & Taylor, Sony, and Apple ITunes. Buyers can download any or all of ten different formats including PDF, HTML, Mobi (for Kindle and others), and EPub (Apple iPad/iBooks, Nook, Sony Reader, Kobo, and other e-reading apps including Adobe Digital Editions).

This new edition is somewhat different from the print version that is still available on Amazon.com and other book dealers. In addition to some minor text editing, a few chapters were re-titled to allow internal linking to work properly for all eBook readers. All of the photos included in the original version are reformatted and re-sized for clarity and improved viewing on computers and “smart phones.”

For those of you who have not had a chance to read my book yet, feel free to check out the Smashwords.com version. You may sample several pages directly from the online edition before buying a copy. I also hope that you will feel free to post your honest review of my book right on the site.
